Benazir Kafalat Program

Benazir kafalat program is a government initiative started in 2008 after the death of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. The main purpose of this social welfare program is to empower the women of Pakistan by helping them with money. This program is basically for the poor women only who could not afford their daily life. The main purpose of this program is to address widespread poverty in Pakistan. This program is designed to give money to women after every 3 or 6 months. So, in this article, I will completely guide you about it.

Benazir Kafalat Program Eligibility Criteria

If you meet this criterion you will be eligible for the Kafalat program. Here are the following steps:

1. Must be citizen of Pakistan
2. Must be a female.
3. A household with low income.
4. Your income should must be under the poverty line decided by the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER).
5. Must not be a beneficiary of any other government. Scheme.

How can you register Online for the Benazir Kafalat Program?

If you have read the upper guidance and you are thinking that you are eligible for this scheme. Then the next step is to register yourself for the Benazir kafalat program to benefit from this scheme.

There are two ways by following them you can register yourself. First is by the help of 8171 web portal and second is by BISP Mobile app. 

By 8171 web Portal

1. Go to official 8171 web portal by clicking here
2. Then click on the “Apply” button.
3. After that you have to fill the form.
4. Then submit this form.

By BISP Mobile App

1. First go to the play store and download official BISP mobile app
2. Then open this app and follow the instruction on Screen
3. Then click on “Apply”
4. Then fill form with by entering your information
5. Then click on the Submit button.

Now you have successfully applied for this scheme. But now you have to wait for the message from 8171. They will inspect your information and see if you will meet the poverty criteria. Then you will receive a message from 8171 that you are eligible for this scheme. 

Benazir Kafalat Program NSER Survey in 2024

The full form of NSER is (National Socio-Economic Registry). The government of Pakistan conducts an NSER survey in the overall country to select deserving people for the kafalat program. However, they did not announce publicly how they selected people for their scheme. 

This survey collects data on a household’s economic and social status. In 2024, BISP will conduct an ongoing dynamic NSER survey. If your household score falls below a certain threshold (typically around 32), it indicates eligibility for the Benazir Kafalat Program.

How To Check BISP Kafalat Money?

There are two ways to check your BISP kafalat money. First you can check your money through BISP online portal. And second is you can check through your local Kafalat money provider.

Through Online 8171 web portal

1. First go to the Online official BISP portal
2. Then enter your CNIC number
3. Then enter the code given on the image
4. Then click on “Find” button

Here if you will be eligible for the Benazir kafalat program then you will see message like this:

You can also check your through these local agents. You just have to give your CNIC and then they will verify your CNIC number through a biometric machine. They will tell you if you are eligible or not.

How to receive Benazir Kafalat Program Allowance

There are two ways to receive your Benazir kafalat program allowance. You can withdraw it through the HBL / BAFL POS / retailer.

Through BAFL POS / Retailer

1. If a female is eligible and declared as beneficiary she will receive an SMS from 8171.
2. Then go to your nearest authentic BAFL POS / retailer in your tehsil that is eligible to withdraw your kafalat program allowance.
3. Then make sure you keep your original and latest CNIC issued by government of Pakistan
4. After that, give this CNIC to a local agent. And he will enter your CNIC in the HBL konnect device.
5. After that he will ask you for the thumb verification. Because without biometric verification you can’t receive your allowance.
6. After that, you will be eligible for the allowance. He will withdraw your money and will give.
7. And first count the allowance and make sure that it is the exact amount that the government issued.
8. And if you face any issue by a BAFL POS / retailer then call on this helpline number 0800-26477 and register your complaint. 

Through the HBL ATM machine.

1. Keep your identity card with you
2. Then go to the nearest HBL branch where an ATM is available.
3. Then you will see the Ehsaas program or BISP option available on the home screen of the ATM. Click on this option
4. After that the machine will ask you to enter your CNIC card no. Please enter it.
5. Then you have to verify your thumb with the help of a thumb verification machine on the ATM.
6. After that if you are eligible then you will see a next screen and if you are not eligible you will go back to the home screen.
7. If you are eligible then you will see different options like “Withdraw money”, “Balance inquiry” and others.
8. If you want to check your balance then click on the “Balance inquiry” option and check it.
9. After that if you want to withdraw your money then click on the withdraw money option.
10. Then the ATM will ask you to enter your amount. Please write your amount you want to withdraw. 
11. After that you will receive money through an ATM machine.

Future Goals of the Benazir Kafalat Program in 2024

The future goal of the Benazir Kafalat program is to allocate more budget to this program. By allocating more budget the government can facilitate more women through this program. Till now there are 9.3 million beneficiary women who are benefiting from this scheme. 

The mission of the government is to eliminate poverty and help those who are underprivileged sections of society, especially women. And in the future, I am thinking about a skills development program for women also. So, women can earn money through these skills.

No Record of Provided CNIC

In case there is no record on the 8171 portal, any adult member of the household may visit the nearest Benazir registration desk, established at the BISP Tehsil Office, for a household survey. You can check your account from there.  And you can file a complaint there that I am the most suitable woman for this program and still no record is showing on my account.
